Hello and Welcome to The Birds & The Tees!!

Welcome to The Birds and the Tees, a blog all about fitness, golf, and recipes to help hit those goals! We are twin sisters who grew up loving the game of golf. We wanted to start this blog to share our experience in the golf world, what we have learned and picked up outside the golf world, and connect with you! We are both Professional Golfers and have vast knowledge from over 20 years playing the game and over 10 years working in the golf industry. 

Even if you have never golfed before, occasionally golf, or go out every day, we want to share everything that we know and hopefully get you going and interested in it too! 

Our goal is to also share a bunch of fitness information and knowledge when it comes to exercises for general fitness or specifications for sports! With one of us being a Certified Personal Trainer and a degree in Kinesiology we can bring the expertise to you! 

When it comes to nutrition, we want to help share what has helped us! Although we are not nutritionists, we have recipes to give you the fuel you need on the golf course and training! 

So what can you expect from joining our journey? Obviously, our big reason for being here is all about the golf. We had clubs in our hand from when we were 5, and have never dropped them! We will share tips about your golf swing, but also help you with other aspects of golf. Do you know what an albatross is? Well if not, you will be sure to learn it here! 

What is the driving force behind this? Golf is a complicated sport with lots of terminology the average person would not know. There are so many metrics from technology now and can be overwhelming and confusing on where to start. That’s why we are here! We want to create a community of people who love golf as much as we do, or are just starting the game that need somewhere to come with like minded people. We are here to help you learn about the golf swing, golf etiquette and lots more. You may see all the professionals on TV, and with any athlete nutrition and fitness are an important part of their day as well. We are here to give you exercises that will benefit you in your golf swing or stretches to create more range of motion. We will also provide exercises to help prevent injury (have you heard of tennis/golfers elbow….Ouch!) We will also provide delicious and nutritious meals to help you reach your goals and keep nutrition front of mind during your round. We want to keep the game of golf and all that goes with it simple!
